Clarence Leo (A.P.) Shelburne, 75, of Radford, Va., and Bloomery, W.Va., died on Monday, July 18, 2011, suddenly near his home. Mr. Shelburne was born on July 18, 1936, in Luray, Va., a son of the late Clarence R. and Opie Duncan Shelburne.

He worked for O’Sullivan Corporation for 36 years. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of the Redland United Methodist Church in Cross Junction, Va.

Mr. Shelburne married Josephine Hawkins Shelburne on June 21, 1958, in Gainesboro, Va. Surviving with his wife of 53 years are two sons, Dennis J. Shelburne and his wife, Beth, of Bloomery, W.Va., and John K. Shelburne and his wife, Jacqueline, of Winchester, Va.; one daughter, Michelle Fischer and her husband, John, of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; one brother, James O. Shelburne, of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Ruby Williams, of Bridgewater, Va.; six grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Indresano and Eunice Miller.

Funeral Services will be held at the Redland United Methodist Church in Cross Junction, Va., at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 22, 2011. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael P. Kendall and the Rev. Anthony Wadsworth. Interment will be at the Shenandoah Memorial Park in Winchester, Va., at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Giffin Funeral Home in Capon Bridge, W.Va., on Thursday, July 21, 2011, from 6 to 9 p.m.
