Etta Faye Smith Shealor, age 70, of Blacksburg, died, Friday, December 9, 2011, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, in Winston-Salem, N.C. She was born in Montgomery Co., Va. on January 2, 1941 to the late Thomas Carl & Mary Aline Surface Smith.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Carl Jonathan Shealor, and her husband, Floyd O. Shealor, Sr., and two grandsons, Adam Long, Thomas Long, and a sister, Bessie Odell McMahan.

Etta Faye loved her music and the people she played with.

She is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Rob Fentress, of Sunnyside, Gloria F. and Clayton Long, of McCoy, Cora S. and John Snidow, of Vinton, 1 son and daughter-in-law, Floyd O. Jr. and Valerie Shealor, of Sunnyside, her companion, Carl Jones, of Blacksburg, 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma Quesenberry, Mary Ruth & Bunny McDonald, Gladys Hughes, all of Blacksburg, 5 brothers and sisters-in-law, Denny & Shirley Smith, of Blacksburg, Daniel & Donna Smith, Blacksburg, Allen Wayne “T.C.” Smith, Blacksburg, Rodney & Polly Smith, Prices Fork, Harold Jackson & Carmella Smith, Blacksburg, Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Shiloh Lutheran Church with the Pastor Richard Bansemer officiating. Interment will follow in the New Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call anytime Monday, and the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.

In lieu of Flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 5218 Long Shop Road, Blacksburg, Va. 24060, or to a charity of your choice.
