Shaw, Michael Lee

Michael Lee Shaw, 34, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, January 10, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident. He was an employee of Campus Exxon as an auto mechanic which was a passion in his life from childhood.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jay Bishop Hawkins; and his grandmother, Elizabeth Shaw. He is survived by his parents, Roger Lee and Barbara Shaw; brother, Timmie Ray Shaw; grandmother, Vertie Hawkins; grandfather, George A. Shaw. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at The Horne Funeral Home, Tuesday, January 13, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2009, in The Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Sarver officiating.
