Shaver, Margaret Ann

Margaret Ann (Margie) Shaver died suddenly at her Blacksburg home Friday, April 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sid and Louise Shaver; grandparents, Rudolph and Annie Shaver and Hallie Spradlin.

Margie’s a graduate of Blacksburg High School and attended New River Community College. She loved country living and her precious dogs.

She is survived by her son, Travis Shaver and his fiancee Brittany and her grand-daughter, Riley Shaver; special companion George Underwood; sisters, Carol Shaver and fiancee Tony, Sue Shaver and Pam Shaver; brother, Chuck Shaver and wife Virginia; step brother Chris Shaver and wife Erin; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a very special friend Ron Hobbs.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, May 6, 2016 at 2:30 pm in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Christiansburg with Rev. John Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends form Friday from 1 to 2 pm at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
