Shanklin, Ruth Shannon

Ruth Shannon Shanklin, 92 of Radford, passed away Monday, January 7, 2008. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Radford and preceded in death by her husband, Edward Everett Shanklin, Sr. and her son, Edward Everett Shanklin, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara S. Duncan of Radford; one granddaughter and husband, Kimberly and Steve Wade of Radford; and one great-grandson, Jackson Lewis Wade; a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Thelma Shannon of Charlotte, NC; and a sister Irene S. Wise of Roanoke.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. David Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2:00 pm prior to the service on Thursday. Flowers will be appreciated or contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Radford, 201 4th Street, Radford, VA 24141. The Shanklin family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
