Sexton, Brenda Raines

Brenda Marie Raines Sexton, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at the Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born September 20, 1949, in Princeton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Mann Raines.

Brenda was a member of the Indian Mills Baptist Church and worked at Food Lion for 22 years. She enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee “Bob” Sexton, and sister, Donna Rae May. Survivors include one son, Jerry Sexton of Beckley, WV; four daughters, Joyce Flores and husband Randy of Dayton, OH, Barbara Perkins and husband David of Pearisburg, VA, Debby Sexton and fiancé Chris Wood of Marie, WV, and Bobbie “Sissy” Boone and husband Mike of Greenville, WV; her companion, Carl Weiss of Peterstown, WV; eight grandchildren, Brandon Sexton and wife Jessica, Derek Perkins, Warren Wood, Robbie Coulter and wife Jennifer, Greyson Flores, Kahea Flores, Mikey Boone, and Ethan Boone; and three great grandchildren, Sadie, Brody, and Hudson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Rev. Steve Howdock officiating. Burial will follow at the Indian Mills Cemetery in Indian Mills, WV, with grandchildren and family serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at the funeral home.
