Semones, Victor Junior

Victor Junior Semones, 84, of Parrott, Va., passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2007. He was a member of the Parrott Church of God. He worked in the Great Valley Coal Mine and later for Appalachian Power Company. He retired from the RAAP with 37 years service as a boiler operator “A.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor E. and Lucy Duncan Semones; and a granddaughter, Beverly Duncan. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth E. Semones of Parrott; five children and their spouses, Charlotte and Duane Hall of Pulaski, Veronica Semones and Victor Wayne Semones, both of Parrott, Rita and Russell Bush of Riner, and Kim and Robbie Stoots of Parrott; six grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Carrie Hall, Brian and Kelly Hall, G.E. and Amanda Midkiff, Robin Moses, Crystal and Jerad Null, and Kelly Stoots; five greatgrandchildren, Samuel Hall, Haley and Jason Hall, and Caleb and Parker Midkiff; former son-in-law, Dale Duncan of Radford; sister, Melita Sowers of Christiansburg; and a daughter from a previous marriage, Shirley Young of Radford.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Parrott Church of God with the Rev. Eddie Dalton, Pastor James Bradley, and Mr. Larry Phillips officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin.
