She joined First Baptist Church at 3rd Avenue and Downey Street, while a student at Radford State Teachers and remained a member until her death. She served in numerous roles at First Baptist but her fondest memories were teaching youth in Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
Nancy was truly a beautiful woman, both inside and out. Whether it be serving as Miss Patrick County at the county fair in 1924 or always being available when someone was in need, (she always kept a casserole in the freezer for a friend). She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding her “boys”. Her pimento cheese was recognized as the best by all who tried it. She was a true southern lady and was devoted to her family, friends, community and church.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Wheatland Radford for their care and devotion to Nancy over the past decade.
