Semones, Garnie Fred

Garnie Fred Semones, 83, of Floyd, passed away Monday, February 4, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Blanche H. Semones, Floyd; daughter, Frankie Turner and husband, Tyler, Floyd; stepson, Charles Gardner and wife, Beth, Florida; stepdaughter, Thelma Maloney and husband, Mike, Florida; granddaughter, Kristi Shaw and husband, Mark, Christiansburg; step-grandchildren, Phillip Keith, Karen and John Skinner and Gregory and Sharon Gardner; brother and sisters-in-law, Hassel and Lula Semones, Willis, and Dorcie Semones, Salem; six step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2008, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Elder Larry Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Maberry Funeral Home.
