Semmler, Thomas Vincent

Thomas Vincent (Tom) Semmler, 75, of Christiansburg, Va., died Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at his home. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 9, 1935, to the late Frederick Paul and Pearl Hawkins Semmler and was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Semmler; and one sister, Ethel Saar.

He is survived by his two daughters, Dr. Tamera Howell, of Radford, and Tina Kuhn, of Rapid City, S.D.; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul Frederick and Sally Semmler, of Wilmington, N.C.; five grandchildren, Logan Howell, Sarah Fish, Sandra Pashby, Susan Fish, and Sarina Kuhn; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. The family wishes to express their thanks to his caregiver, Sarah, and his many friends. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
