North Truman (NT) Selvey, Jr., age 82 of Pulaski died Wednesday, March 6, 2013. North was born in Princeton, W.Va. on March 20, 1930 and was the son of the late North T. Selvey, Sr. and Esther Alley Selvey.

He graduated from the University of West Virginia with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked as an engineer for McDonnell Douglas for 35 years. He enjoyed golf, bowling, reading and home remodeling projects. As a proud member of the United States Navy, he served on the aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge CV45 during the Korean War.

North is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Lou Minnick Selvey; sons, Brian Selvey and his wife Debbie, North, III Selvey and his wife Amy, and David Selvey; a daughter Chrystal Rutigliano and her husband Sam; two brothers, Bob Selvey and his wife Dainese of Richmond, and Ben Selvey and his wife Eileen of Roanoke, and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday March 9, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. C.R. Conner of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Wounded Warrier Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, or the family has requested potted plants or flower arrangements which can be taken home after the service. As per his request, Mr. Selvey will be cremated after the service.
