Scott, Gloria Dean

Gloria Dean Scott, age 66, of McCoy died Monday, July 15, 2013 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. She was born in Giles County, VA on May 10, 1947 and was preceded in death by her father, Albert Eugene Kessinger, her first husband, Bobby B. Scott, her second husband, Bobby Baker, and a sister, Debra Adenti.

Gloria retired from Virginia Tech with over 25 years of service. A life long lover of music and animals.

She is survived by her son, Eric T. Scott and Shana Beirne of Los Angeles, CA; mother, Claudine M. Martin of Pembroke; sisters and brothers-in-law, Yvonne K. and Larry McCoy of McCoy, Derhonda K. and Robert Cline of Woodstock; special niece and nephew, Lorie McCoy and Blake McCoy of McCoy; several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 pm Thursday evening, July 18, 2013 at McCoy Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 7:30 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will be private with the family in the McCoy Family Cemetery, McCoy.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. View Humane Society, Christiansburg.
