Scott, Betty Pamplin
Betty Pamplin Scott, 73, of Pulaski, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 2, 2008, in the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was born in Radford, Va., on October 19, 1934, and was the daughter of the late Harry Spencer Pamplin and Annie Bertha Lee Pamplin. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and John Pamplin; and by two sisters, Virginia Jones and Nancy Childress.
Mrs. Scott served as Deputy Clerk of Circuit Court in Pulaski for forty-three years.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Ronda Scott Cregger and the Rev. Randle V. Cregger, Pulaski; grandson, Adam C. Cregger, Pulaski; sister, Mary Elisabeth Cohick, Williamsport, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Steve and Linda Sutherland, Pulaski, and Jerry and Lynn King, Pulaski.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, from the First Presbyterian Church, Pulaski with the Rev. Jeff Kackley officiating. Burial will follow in the Appalachian Conference Cemetery, Dublin. Visiting will be Tuesday evening, March 4, 2008, at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m.
