Schoonover, Richard B.

Richard B. Schoonover, 55, of Floyd, went to Heaven Friday, June 25, 2010 at his home with his loved ones by his side after a long battle with cancer. He was born May 4, 1955, the son of the late Joseph Schoonover. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Lee Schoonover and Joseph Riley Schoonover.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; three sons, Ryan, Joseph, Gabriel; his mother, Emma Richardson; two brothers, Robert Schoonover and Raymond Schoonover; sister, Ruth Taylor and husband, Tom.

Many thanks to all his friends that were there for him and special thanks to Sherry and Hospice for all their help and support. He loved the outdoors and loved his Mustangs. Richard has left this Earth, but will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Lotz Vinton Chapel. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home before the service starts.
