Sauvage, Janis Lynch
Janis Lynch Sauvage joined her Heavenly Father, earthly father, brother and daughter-in-law on November 27th in GLORY! She was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on November 13, 1953 to Carl and Mary Lynch.
Her public education in Mason County Schools culminated with graduation from Point Pleasant High School in 1971. She advanced her education at West Virginia Wesleyan College and Marshall University. During her professional life she worked for Monroe County Schools as well as multiple United Methodist Churches in the WV United Methodist Conference including Peterstown UM Church of which she was a member.
Preceding her in death are her father, Carl E. Lynch Jr; brother, Carl E. Lynch III and daughter-in-law, Lois Perkins Sauvage. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Reverend Dr. John R. Sauvage and three children: Daughter, Tami (Jeremy) Brown and grandchildren Alex, Carter and Emma of Peterstown; Son, Matthew (Joanna) Sauvage and grandchildren Shad and Euodia of Peterstown; Daughter, Carla (Jeff) Snell and grandchildren Kyleigh, Caydance and Crews of Huntington; Mother, Mary Lynch Morrison of Point Pleasant; Sister, Suzanne (David) Dickens of Point Pleasant; Nieces, Jennifer Ransbottom and Sophia of Huntington; Nieces, Kimberly (Aaron) Magner and Kylie, Kennedy and Carlee of Spokane, WA; and Nephews, Alexander (Stephanie) Dickens’ Gabriel and Lucian as well as Nieces, Isabella and Madeline of Point Pleasant.
Services will he held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Peterstown United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 am and funeral at 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, a Memorial Fund has been established at Peterstown United Methodist Church. Gifts can be made to PUMC Jan Sauvage Memorial Fund and sent to PUMC, 47 Race Street Peterstown, WV 24963.
Jan was the ultimate mom, wife, daughter, grandma, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed but the knowledge that she is with her Lord and Savior gives comfort to those who mourn.
