Saunders, Mary Stone
Mary Jane Stone Saunders went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the age of 67. She was born October 30, 1954, in Austinville, Virginia, to the late Clarence and Joan (Bonnie) Stone.
Mary also known as “Mary Jane” or “MJ” worked at Fairview homes and the Old Randolph Hospital, and then retired from the Pulaski County School System after 29 years. Mary was a lifelong member of the original Church of God, where she also taught Sunday School.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Saunders is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis Saunders (JR); sister Susie Massie; grandson Kenneth Saunders Jr.; stepson Mike Saunders; nephew Cody stone, followed by aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Surviving are her children, Sons: Kenneth Saunders, Bradley Saunders and wife Keli, Daughter: Mara Saunders and Jacob Hodge; step-daughter: Becky Grey; Brother: Clarence Stone Jr. and wife Vicki; Sisters: Karen and Mike Malone, Cathy and Leroy Stowers. Grandchildren: Chevella Saunders, Montana Saunders, Jayden Hodge, Kailtlyn Moore, Bryce Moore, Keith Cowan; Great-Grandchildren: Marcus Cowan, and Renesmae Moore. As well as lots of nieces and nephews she loved dearly & many others she considered family. She loved you each dearly.
There will be a memorial service at a later date, to be announced.

Thought and Prayer for all the family. She was such a sweet and giving person. I remember her from Claremont Elementary School. She also made the absolutely best Potatoe Cakes, I had never heard of them until I met her. RIP sweet lady!
