Saunders, Jr. Lewis Jay

Lewis J. Saunders, Jr., age 75 of Pulaski passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in the Radford Health and Rehab Center. Born September 8, 1937 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Lewis J. Saunders, Sr. and Effie Mae Alley Saunders. He was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Saunders, and one Grandson, Kenneth Robert Saunders.

He was retired from Pulaski County School Board with 37 years of service.

Surviving- Wife- Mary Jane Stone Saunders-Pulaski, Children- Becky Gray, Kenneth Saunders, Bradley Saunders, and Mara Saunders- all of Pulaski. Grandchildren- Eric Gray, Keith Saunders, Chevella Saunders , Montana Saunders and Phillip Mallery.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski with Rev. Richard Wall and Rev. Charles McPeak officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
