kinkade-lighthouse3James Philip “Pete” Sale, 72, was reunited in Heaven with his son, James Philip Sale II on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. He was a driver with Lone Star Trucking and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albin and Ollie Sale, and brothers, Frank D. and Robert A. Sale.

Surviving him are his wife of 51 years, Connie S. Sale; daughters, Cynthia (Travis) Williams of Dobson, NC, Amy O’Brien of Radford, Sally (Garret) Miller of Floyd, and Samantha (Chris) Franklin of Roanoke; grandchildren, Zachary Sale, Lauren Williams, Charleigh Williams, Hunter O’Brien and Nicolas Franklin; Zachary’s fiancé Briana Keen and Lauren’s fiancé Matt Eller; great grandchildren Gabriel Eller and Elijah Sale; his very special little friend (dog) Princeton; Sisters-in-law, Judy Sale of Radford and Bonnie Rickey of Destin, FL; brother-in-law, Bill (Virginia) Sowers of Vinton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Sale Family would like to thank Dr. John White’s dedicated care and sincere friendship to Mr. Sale. Also a special thank you to the Intrepid Hospice nurses who helped during his last days.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. T. Michael Bond officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in his name to Intrepid Hospice or to the Lung Association.
