Sadler, Ellen Rock

Ellen Louise Rock Sadler, 95, of Staffordsville, departed this life Tuesday evening, August 21, 2018 in the care of her loving family and Heritage Hall in Rich Creek, VA. Born in Pearisburg on January 30, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lillie Pyles Rock.

She was a beloved child care specialist and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Bane.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jess Edward Sadler, her daughter Joyce Ann Sadler, her brother Cecil Rock and her sisters Wanda Viars, Hazel Rock, Dorothy Auton, Mary Belle Rock.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughters-in-law Ronnie and Debbie Sadler of Ashland, VA and Donnie and Maggie Sadler of Pearisburg; her daughter and son-in-law Judy and James Perkins of Staffordsville; her seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 24, 2018, at 2:00 pm in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with Brother Charles Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
