Sachs, Linda R. Kraft

Linda R. Kraft Sachs of Christiansburg, beloved mother and wife, passed on to our Heavenly Father on Monday, May 5, 2014, at the age of 71. Linda was born in Bismarck, N.D. on March 9, 1943. She attended school in a one-room schoolhouse near her home place of Shields, N.D. She graduated from St. Mary Catholic High School in Bismarck, N.D. Linda was a homemaker who, along with her loving husband, John, raised three children in Grand Forks, N.D. Linda loved teaching crafts to her children and grandchildren, attending auctions, bowling with the women’s bowling association, camping, sitting by the fire and fishing. She was firm in her beliefs and in her love for her children and husband. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Kraft; mother, Helen Bachmeier Kraft; and brother, Frank Kraft. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, John Sachs. Linda also leaves behind her brother, Myron Kraft of Wilton, N.D.; sons, Joe Sachs of Grand Forks, N.D., and Pete Sachs and wife Gail of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Merissa Sachs of Christiansburg; granddaughter, Tiana Cole, also of Christiansburg; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a number of special friends and family members.

The family will honor Linda’s wish of cremation and burial along side her husband when the time arrives.
