Rygas, Stefan

Stefan Rygas, age 86, of 114 Haight Street, McPherson, Kansas passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at his home.

Born September 2, 1920, in Stok, Poland, he was the son of the late Joseph Rygas and Helena Shpkowocka Rygas. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.

He was retired from Concrete Products with over 35 years of service. In past years, he loved to fish and watch baseball games. He especially enjoyed watching the McPherson Amercian Legion baseball & basketball teams play when his son, Alex ,played on the teams in high school and college.

One Son- Alex Rygas and wife, Dana Bower Rygas-Pulaski, Virginia

Two Daughters- Amelia Amy Rygas Kimmel-Clayton, N.C.

Yolande Deck and husband, Lyle Deck- Irving, TX.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 10:30 A.M. at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson,KS. Interment will follow in the McPherson Town Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas.
