Rutrough, Hilda Evelyne

Hilda Evelyne Rutrough, 91, of Floyd, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007. She was born on April 30, 1916. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Doris Rutrough; a sister, Alice Rutrough; and a brother, Giles Lee Rutrough.

Survivors include a sister, Pauline Hylton of Willis; a niece, Dr. Gale Hylton of Palo Alto, Calif.; sister-in-law, Hazel Rutrough of Floyd, special caregiver, Peggy Howell.

Evelyne worked for the United States Postal Service for thirty-seven years. She was a member of the Floyd United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and Floyd Historical Society. She also did genealogical research for many people.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. Interment will follow at Jacksonville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Maberry Funeral Home.
