Rupe, Richard Wayne

Richard Wayne Rupe, age 68 of Pulaski passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem. Born October 7, 1950 in Pulaski he was the son of the late William Preston Rupe & Dolly Reynolds Lawson. His sons, Roger Lee, Donald Ray, William “Bill”, Jr. and sisters Doris Ann Cobb and Betty Sue Viers also preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of the United States Army retiring with 20 years of service. He was retired from Volvo.

Son: Brian Wayne Rupe & fiancé Michelle Thornhill, North Tazewell

Grandchildren: Bryson Shayne Rupe, Chelsea Lynn Rupe and Bradley Wayne Rupe

Sisters: Doris Ann Cobb; Betty Sue Viers

Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM – Friday, August 9, 2019 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery, Dublin.

The family will receive friends one hour before service time at the Funeral Home. Bower Funeral Homes, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
