Rupe, Ellen Marie

Ellen Marie Rupe, age 48, of Christiansburg died, Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Saltville, Va. on December 10, 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Olinger and Katherine Altizer. She was a member of the Elliston Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Rupe, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Richard Griggs, of Christiansburg, her parents, Brenda and Bobby Laue, sisters and brothers-in-law, Elsie Austin, Linda Olinger, Reba and Gary Palmer, Brenda Sue and Kurt Lamb, Danielle and John Goad, Lesa and Rodney Smith, brothers and sister-in-law, Charlie Olinger, Robert Olinger, George and Belinda Davis, numerous nieces and nephews, special canine companions, chloe and kt.

Special thanks to Dr. Estrada, Dr. Belcher, Dr. Raju and Dr. Trevidi and the nurses at New River Valley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11:00am in the Elliston Church of God with the Rev. Bob Goldstein and Rev. Ronald King officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00pm Sunday evening at the Elliston Church of God.
