Runyon, David Tate

David Tate Runyon, age 63 of Dublin, died Wednesday June 15, 2011 in Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1948 in Pulaski County, and was the son of the late Alma Hall Runyon and Cephas Marcelus Runyon, Jr. He was a retired draftsman for Radford Army Ammunition Plant, was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War, was a member of the Christiansburg American Legion, and was a Christian by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen E. Reece. He is survived by his wife, Marie Coleman Runyon, and a nephew, Sheridon Reece of Newport News. Funeral services will be held Monday June 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newbern Community Christian Church with the Rev. Ernie Depew officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday at Seagle Funeral Home, 415 N.
