Vickie Lynn Rule, 46, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at Giles Memorial Hospital. She was born September 22, 1961, in Bath County, a daughter of Charles Roger and Carol (Robinson) Hupman. Mrs. Rule graduated from Bath County High School. She had worked 15 years at Wolverine Gasket Company in Blacksburg and part time at Re/Max. She was a supporter of the Christiansburg Adopt-A-Cop Program and a great granny and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Michael L. Rule, of Peterstown, W.Va.; her parents, Roger and Carol Hupman, of Williamsville; a daughter, Joni Lynn Turner and her husband, Justin Todd, of Christiansburg; two granddaughters, MacKenzie Faith and Breanna Shea Turner; a brother, Rodger Lee Hupman and his wife, Mary C., of Hot Springs; two sisters, Darlene Hill and her husband, William, of Mechanicsville, Md., and Ruth Carter and her husband, Andy, of Goshen; three nieces, Lori Kaye Gravley, Lakkin Micaela Carter and Skyler Elaine Hupman; and two nephews, Dustin Bradley and Duncan Lyle Hupman.

A graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008, at Warm Springs Cemetery by the Rev. Donald Altizer. The family will receive friends at the meal following the service at Williamsville Community Center.
