Rucker, Karen Jean

Karen Jean Rucker, 41, of Shawsville, Va., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 23, 2011. She was born on January 13, 1970, to the late Charles and Gloria Stone. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Roxanne Stone.

She is survived by her husband, H.L. Rucker; children, Jessica Knecht, Keegan Matthews, Troy Rucker, and Andrew Rucker; grandchildren, Michael Cramer and Faith Cramer; foster parents, Marge and John Wilkins; cousins, Diana and Billy Lane; aunt, Lorene Limox; and her special companion, “Teddy.”

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church Youth Program. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be conducted 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2011, at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor Douglas Milliner and Wes Conner officiating.
