Ruble, Betty Jane Driver

Betty Jane Drive Ruble, 82, of Ripplemead, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, Va. Mrs. Ruble was born on October 19, 1926 in War, W.Va. and was a daughter of the late Dave Driver and Goldie W. Driver Tickle. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Kenneth Ruble and her stepfather, Earl D. Tickle.

Mrs. Ruble graduated from Big Creek High School and was a retired employee with the Celanese Corp. in Narrows, Va. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharen and Andy Melvin, of Richmond; one sister, Louise Mauritz, of Turtle Creek, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Zachary Melvin, of Richmond, Michael Melvin and wife, Angie, of San Antonio, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 14, 2008 at the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shahn Wilburn officiating.
