Royal, Fred Monroe

Fred Monroe Royal, 85, of Christiansburg, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lee & Avlelia Sutphin Royal; and his wife, Sylvia Woods Royal.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Royal Jones & fiancé George “Peanut” Fizer, of Dublin; grandson, Thomas Michael Akers & fiancée Michelle Still, of Pulaski; sister-in-law, Marcella Woods of Christiansburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Good Samaritan Hospice and special friends Harold & Helen Eanes, Libby Rutledge & family, Donna Spano and Jane Rivers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 22, 2012, from 5-8 pm at Horne Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 23rd at 3 pm at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, with Pastor Matthew Kirk officiating.
