Roseberry, Richard Lee

Richard Lee Roseberry, 86, of Pulaski, Va., died late Thursday evening, January 27, 2011, in the VA Medical Center in Salem, Va. He was born February 14, 1924, and was the son of the late Mary Crowder Roseberry and Walter Jackson Roseberry. He was retired with 22½ years of service in the United States Army, achieving the rank of E-6 and the recipient of the Purple Heart. He also was a member of the Allisonia Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lee Ford Roseberry; a son, Vincent Roseberry; three brothers, Bentley, James and Archie; and a sister, Virginia R. Smith. He is survived by a sister, Jackie Ritchie and her husband, Herbert, of Strongsville, Ohio; a niece, Dana Patton and her husband, Bill, of Pulaski; three nephews, Anthony Smith, of Pulaski, Randy Smith, of Pulaski, and Terry Smith, of Ridgeway, Va.; and several other nieces. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hall officiating. Interment will be in Hufford Cemetery.
