Rose, Jerry Wayne
Jerry Wayne Rose, 55 of Narrows, passed away Thursday, April 12th, 2018 at his home. Jerry was preceded in his passing by his father and mother, Earnest (Ernie) and Pansy Rose; and brother, Edwin (Eddie) Rose.
Jerry was a man of many talents who enjoyed being active outside, and loved being surrounded by loved ones. He was a member of VFW Post #6000 and an active builder of the Veterans’ Memorial Park in Narrows. Jerry loved his country. A loving father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his fiancee’, Tammy Porterfield Martin of Narrows; a stepmother, Nellie Rose Johnston and husband Odell Johnston of Cashmere, West Virginia; four daughters, Amy Rose Hudspeth and husband Brandon of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jennifer Rose Martin and husband Jesse of Narrows, Shae Rose of Narrows, and Stepdaughter, Sierra Martin and fiancee’ Denis Villanueva of Arlington, Virginia; three sisters, Brenda Perkins of Pearisburg, Debbie Casad of Washington state, and stepsister Danyell Neely of Pembroke; five grandchildren, Hayley Hudspeth and fiancĂ©e Luke Carpenter of Charlotte, Brandon (Buddy) Hudspeth of Charlotte, Michael, Tiffany and Jeremiah Sisson of Narrows; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and numerous special friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16th, 2018 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery in Bozoo, West Virginia. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel Monday from 1 PM until just prior to the service. The family requests that those sending memorial contributions, please consider the Narrows Veterans Memorial Park, in care of Rick Helms, 150 Windmill Hill Drive; Narrows, Virginia.

Tammy my Prayers are with you and all the family. We have lost a truly dear friend. My heart is so sad. Jerry never met a stranger and he was so totally in love with you. Prayers for all of the Class of 81. Jerry loved Narrows and was so Proud to be a GREEN WAVE.

R.I.P. my friend Jerry glad we had a chance to talk when bumped into each other at the store when I was home last. Who would have known it would be our last..Fly high and watch over us all.
