Roop, Ronald Steven

Ronald Steven (Steve) Roop went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 14, 2022 at the age of 66. Steve loved the Lord with all his heart and was ready to meet Him. He was a horse enthusiast and overall animal lover. He enjoyed watching and coaching sports and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nancy and Elmer Roop.

His is survived by the love of his life Dana Roop. Children: Adam (Monica) Roop of Fort Worth, TX, Travis (Mackenzie) Roop of Aledo, TX, Brian (Amy) Roop of Aledo, TX, Lindsey (Josh) Bowling of Rock Hill, SC, Ryan (Emily) Jones of Vinton, VA. His Father and Mother-in-Law Fred and Paula Tilley of Pulaski, VA. His grandchildren: Kaylee and Jackson Roop of Aledo, TX, Ava and Easton Bowling of Rock Hill, SC and Kaiden and Ryland Jones of Vinton, VA. Beloved pets Griffin and Sunny. Close friends: Harriett Hicks, John Barrett, Debbie Eddins, and special neighbors Todd and Andrea Friddle.

The family wants to send a special thank you to Providence Care Hospice for the wonderful love and care provided.

In lieu of a funeral his ashes will be spread at his favorite location Grayson Highlands State Park/Mount Rogers.
