Roop, Jackie Leon

Jackie Leon Roop, 55, of Christiansburg, left this world on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. He was born on April 14, 1956. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Dowdy Roop; and brother, Jerry Roop.

Surviving are his father, Marvin Roop, of Radford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmie and Teresa Roop, of Christiansburg, Larry and Sharon Roop, of Radford, and Sandy Roop, of Mt. Airy, N.C.

Jackie loved to camp, hunt and fish with his brothers. He will always be in our hearts.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2011, at 12:30 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will directly follow at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family is being served by Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
