Roop, Donald

Donald Roop, of Christiansburg, born January 20, 1950, passed away May 20, 2012, at home with his family after a long illness. He was preceded in death by parents, Miller and Rosie Roop; brother Ralph Roop; and sister, Colleen Caldwell.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Roop; daughter, Amanda Roop; sisters, Ann Ruth Thorton, Louise Akers, and Carolyn Caldwell.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, May 24, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Pilot, with the Rev. Earl Hanks officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery, Pilot.
