Roman Sr., Charles William

Charles William Roman Sr., of Christiansburg, Va., born on April 18, 1933, departed earth to join his Lord and loved ones in heaven on Sunday, January 11, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie R. Roman; his mother and father, Willie Mae and Tony Roman; and a sister, Reba R. Smith.

He is survived by a son, Charles W. Roman Jr. and fiance, Hope Gallimore, of Christiansburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle R. and Curtis Cook, of Blacksburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and David Cruise, of Radford; a daughter, Sarah M. Roman and fiance, Randy Sult, of Blacksburg; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, Kaitlyn Sult, Justin H. Price, Tabitha Orange and children, Crystal Orange and children, Michelle Lovern and children, Vincent W. Price and son, Connor Price, and daughter, Allissa, Shawn Cruise and son, Peyton Cruise; special loved ones, Teresa and Donald Cooper and baby Jenny, of Blacksburg; and a lifetime friend, R.B. Linkous, of Blacksburg. There were many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too many to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2009, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Early officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening, January 14, 2009, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va.
