Rollins, Isabelle Day

Isabelle Day Rollins, 87, of New River, Virginia, departed this life on Sunday, February 11, 2007 at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

She was born June 7, 1919 in Radford, Virginia, the daughter of the late Maggie Frazier. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, New River, Virginia. She retired in 1982 from Radford University with 38 years of service.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Virginia Mae (Calvin) Clark of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Connie (John) Kincannon of Columbus, Ohio, Irma Jean Calfee, and Audrey (Sherman) Lee, both of New River, Virginia, Terence Simms of Richmond, Virginia; one son, Archie (Carameita) Rollins, Jr.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, New River, Virginia, with the Rev. Ronald Brown, officiating. The family will receive friends at 12 noon until the time of service, at First Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Sunrise Burial Park in Fairlawn, Virginia.
