Rogers, Lillie Mae Blankenship

Lillie Mae Blankenship Rogers, 66, of Max Meadows, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011. She was born July 10, 1944 in Giles County, daughter of the late William Claude and Clara Elizabeth Shrader Blankenship. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Trout and Alice Haga, one brother, Wesley Blankenship. Lillie attended Max Meadows Church of God of Prophecy. She is survived by her husband, Lonnie W. Rogers; her daughter , Wendy and Charles Catron of Galax; sister , Barbara “Bobby” Pennington of Narrows; brothers, Daniel “Danny” and Terri Blankenship of Narrows, Dale and Carolyn Blankenship of Catawba; granddaughter, Aleena Catron of Galax; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gary Jonas and Pastor Ron Hill officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Barnett Funeral Home, Wytheville.
