James William Rogers, 78, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2006 at his home in Radford. He was a retired electrician and was a member of Carter Street United Methodist Church. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran having served during WWII and the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Rose R. Rogers of Radford; three daughters, Barbara Ellis, Darlene Tuulik and Elaine Featherstone, all of California; numerous grandchildren; and two stepsons, Gary Gray of Charlottesville and Bruce Gray of Radford. The family would like to thank Dr. Charles Judy, and Alta Pickford, Debra Frady and Wendy Roope, all nurses with Carilion Hospice Services.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at the Carter Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Kristie Banes officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
