RODDEN, David Ray, Sr.

David Ray Rodden, Sr., 53 of Radford, loving husband and father, passed away Saturday, September 09, 2006. He was a member of the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church, a retired employee of New River Industries and was a veteran of the US Marines, having served during the Vietnam Era.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Rodden and Ellen N. Metzger, and a brother, Jimmy Rodden. Survivors include his wife, Karen Eastburn Rodden of Radford; daughter, Sarah E. Rodden of Radford; son, David R. Rodden, Jr. currently serving in the US Army in Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Jane Vaught of Pembroke and Anna Phillips of Florida; brother, Eddie Rodden of Florida.; mother-in-law, Sylvia Eastburn; and special pets, Jack and Jasmine.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Fairlawn Presbyterian Church with Rev. Terry Woodard and Rev. Shirley Larson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites.
