Rock, Leoma Perkins

Leoma Perkins Rock, 94 of Pearisburg went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from her home. She was born at Ripplemead, VA on September 22, 1918 the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Maggie Riggs Perkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Ross Rock; nine brothers, Courtland, Eugene, Edward, Johnny, Robert Lee, Amos, Buddy, Carroll and Herbert Perkins; two sisters, Gertrude Perkins Thornhill and Elsie Perkins Conley; one grandson, Brian Young. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Janice Ann Young, Hollywood, Florida; Kathleen (Kay) and Ross Lindsey, Pearisburg; three grandchildren, Johnny Young, Florida, Linda Wilson, Maryland and Kim Thompson, Pembroke; three great-grandchildren, James Wilson, Kaley Lindsey and new baby, Andrew Lee Thompson. Many thanks to aunts Lillian and June Perkins and Bula Walters for their help and care during this time. Visitation – at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Services – Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. Billy Brown officiating. Burial – Mt. View-Anderson Cemetery, Pearisburg
