Robinson, Thelma Allen

Thelma Allen Robinson, 87, of Pulaski, died on Thursday, June 23, 2011, in Lewis Gale Hospital Pulaski. She was born in the Little Creek Community of Pulaski County on June 2, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Hubert Troy Allen and Gladys King Allen. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Elmer E. “Bud” Robinson; and her sister, Pauline Sutphin. Surviving are two daughters and a sonin-law, Kay Welch, of Gordonsville, and Suella and Barry Wolfe, of Christiansburg; two granddaughters and their husbands, Lala Welch Dutter and Eddie, of Fayetteville, N.C., and Melody Wolfe Thomas and Sean. of Arlington, Mass.; four greatgrandchildren, Erik Dutter, Samantha Dutter, Fiona Thomas, and Beckett Thomas; two nieces, Jane Umberger and her husband, Jim, and Senita Haga and her husband, Dennis; a nephew, H.L. Sutphin and his wife, Frances; two special cousins, Geneva Nelson, of Pulaski, and Jack Allen, of Bluefield; extended family, neighbors, and friends. Her family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and respiratory and physical therapists at Lewis Gale Pulaski Hospital, Skilled Care, and ICU for their care. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Seagle Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Dennis Haga.
