Robinson, Elmer E.
Elmer E. “Bud” Robinson, age 87 of Pulaski died early Monday morning April 30, 2007 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 25, 1919 in Johnson County, TN, and was the son of the late Winnie Wilson Robinson and Emerald G. Robinson. He attended the First Baptist Church in Pulaski where he was active in the Men’s Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was a retired employee of the Lynchburg Foundry in Radford, and was a member of the Wytheville Moose Lodge #394.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Fern Stalcup, Bonnie Rash, and Grace Pierce, five brothers, John, Delmer, Ray, Glen, and his twin brother Selmer. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Thelma Allen Robinson of Pulaski: two daughters and a son-in-law; Kay Welch of Gordonsville and Suella and Barry Wolfe of Christiansburg, Two granddaughters and their husbands; Lala Welch Dutter and Eddie of Clinton, NC and Melody Wolfe Thomas and Sean of Boston, MA; three great-grandchildren, Erik Dutter, Samantha Dutter, and Fiona Thomas; three sisters, Faye Fritts of Elizabethton, TN, Edna Kyte of Butler, TN, and Shirley Norris and her husband Charles of Butler, TN, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank friends, neighbors, and members of the Men’s Fellowship Class for their many acts of kindness and assistance.
Funeral services will be held Thursday May 3, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons with the Rev. Phillip Moran and the Rev. Dennis Haga officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
