Robinson, Adele Gibson

robinson_adele_gibsonMrs. Adele Christine Gibson Robinson of Pottstown, Pa., and formerly of Pulaski, Va., entered into eternity peacefully January 18, 2015, in Pottstown, Pa. She is widow of the late Lawrence E. Robinson Sr. Mr. Robinson was the owner of Robinson’s Barber Shop in Pulaski, Va.

Mrs. Robinson, had been employed by the Pulaski County School System and had worked at Radford Arsenal, and then at Belk Department Store. She was a member of Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church; active in the Woman’s Club; the Eastern Star, and was active in the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric Sinclaire Robinson.

Survivors and devoted family include son, Lawrence Edward “Larry” (Patricia Harvey) Robinson Jr., Petersburg, Va.; two grandchildren, Asha (Lashon) Akdins and Joel Robinson; great-grandchildren, Zakira, Zariah and Amaya Robinson, Ayden and Liam Adkins; nieces and nephews, Roxanne, Ken Mark, John, Todd and Brad; a host of first cousins; and long time family friends to include Ruth Clark and family.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2015, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church, 1607 Randolph Avenue, Pulaski, Va. Funeral Services to follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Sharon L. Bowers, Eulogist. Interment will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens, Dublin, Va. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday after 9 a.m.
