Robertson, Orville Jackson

Orville Jackson Robertson, 95, of Dublin, Va. died Saturday, Mar. 10, 2007, at his home. He was born in Pulaski County on Sept. 25, 1911 and was the son of the late William Robertson and Nancy Ellen Robertson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mable Akers Robertson and by a son, William Robertson.

Mr. Robertson was a retired farmer and a member of the New Dublin Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are: his daughter and son-in-law, Pauline R. and John Porterfield, Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, David J. and Ruby Robertson, Pulaski; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Mar. 13, at 2 p.m. from the New Dublin Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jean Brown and Rev. Maria Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visiting will be Monday evening at the New Dublin Presbyterian Church where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to the New Dublin Presbyterian Church.
