Robertson, Lois Meadows

On Saturday, March 16, 2019, the angels gathered on Wolf Creek Road in Narrows, VA, to welcome Lois Meadows Robertson home. She was welcomed into the world on May 13, 1928, as the daughter of the late Johnnie and Cora “Happy” Lilly Meadows.

After retiring from Celanese in 1987, she continued to express her talents by beautifully decorating cakes, painting flowers and landscapes in oils, and as an excellent seamstress. She was a member of the Glen Lyn Church of Christ in Glen Lyn, VA, and she loved her church family dearly.

In addition to her parents, Lois will join her beloved son, Tony Dunn; precious grandson, Gary W. Dunn; two sisters, Louise Kato and Laura “Bunny” Meadows; Uncle Otis and Aunt “Blondie” Vines; and many other loved relatives and friends.

Lois was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She will leave an empty place in the heart of her devoted husband of 35 years, Ronald “Ronnie” Robertson. Additionally, hearts are heavy for one son, Larry W. Dunn (Cornelia) of Bozoo, WV; one daughter, Diana Dunn Wickline (Sam) of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Lisa Dunn (Perry) of Galax, VA, Chrystal Wickline (Rusty) of Jacksonville, FL, and Joseph Dunn (Misty) of NC; great grandchildren, Justin and Kayla Willis, and Jacob Dunn; great great grandchildren, Jonathan, Ayden, and Natalie; two sisters, Lucy Miller of Manassas, VA, and Lilly Thomas of Lindside, WV; and several nieces and nephews. She leaves cherished memories for all that knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Shirley Wimmer officiating. Burial will follow at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
