Robertson, Kenneth R.

Kenneth R. “Bucky” Robertson, 77, of Peterstown, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 at his home. Born Oct. 16, 1929 at Narrows, Va., he was the son of the late Henry D. and Bessie Davis Robertson.

Mr. Robertson was a member of the Lindside Christian Church, and was a retired employee with over 45 years of service at the Celanese Corp., where he worked as a mechanic in the boiler house.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Robertson; one brother, H.D. Robertson Jr.; and one sister, Thelma Smith.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley A. Wilson Robertson; one daughter, Mary Ann Booth and husband Chris of Peterstown; one grandson, Adam Mann; two granddaughters, Andrea Robertson and Kayla Mann all of Peterstown; one sister, Blanche French of Rich Creek, Va.; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Robertson of Peterstown; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday (today), June 9, 2007 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, with Pastor Henry Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the McDonald-Wilson Cemetery, Green Valley Road, Peterstown. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Lindside Christian Church Building Fund, C/O The Lindside Christian Church, Lindside, WV 24951.
