Robertson, Janet Bowles

Janet Bowles Robertson, 95 of Narrows, VA departed this life June 22, 2021 to be with her Heavenly Father surrounded by the care and love of her family. Born in Giles County, VA on May 31, 1926, she is a daughter of the late John and Eva Meredith Bowles.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene Robertson; a daughter, Charlene Stewart; granddaughter, Sherri Lester; sisters, Ellen Snidow, and Josephine Beswick; and brothers, John Bowles, Wayne Bowles, and Armon Bowles.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, John Robertson (Joyce) of Pearisburg; daughters, Carol Vaught of Rich Creek, Eva Weddle (Ralph) of Roanoke; Deidri Thornton (David) of Narrows; and Yvonne Robertson of Conway, SC; siblings, Terry Bowles of Floyd, Jean Caldwell of Pembroke, Nancy Falls of Pembroke, Phyllis Niday of South Carolina, Margaret Higginbotham of Pembroke; and Bob Bowles (Sharon) of Pembroke; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral service conducted Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the First Christian Church in Narrows, VA with Pastor McDaniel officiating. The service will conclude at Angels Rest Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends at the First Christian Church in Narrows Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
