Roberts, Mary Ann Bailey

Mary Ann Bailey Roberts, of Ballard, WV, age 79, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. She was born on May 7, 1946, in McDowell County. She was the daughter of the late Cloyde and Myrtle Bailey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin K. Roberts Sr. of 56 years; son, Marvin K. Roberts Jr.; and two brothers, Ernest Ray Bailey and Kenneth Mack Bailey.

Mary Ann attended Dry Pond Regular Baptist Church. She was very blessed with a loving family and many friends. Her hobbies were sewing, making dolls, cooking, flowers, and gardening. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her son, Tim Roberts and wife Linda of Ballard, WV; daughter, Annette Hill and husband Chris of Ballard, WV; daughter-in-law, Lora Roberts of Ballard, WV; four grandchildren, Justin Roberts and wife Hannah, Amanda Shrader and Husband Chris, Aleigha Hill, and Andrew Hill; five great grandchildren, Jakob, Emily, and Joel Roberts, and Anna and Emma Shrader; five siblings, Basil Bailey of Peterstown, WV, Oliver Bailey and Clairene of Gilbert, WV, Janice Stacy and Donnie of Isaban, WV, Phyllis Damron of Maryland, and Jennifer and Claude Walls of Pineville, WV; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, WV, with Pastor Tim Spencer and Pastor Franklin Adkins officiating. A private burial will follow with the family at the Roberts Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
