Roberts, Edna Frances

Edna Frances Roberts, 87, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2007. She was a member of the First Church of God in Christiansburg and a retired receptionist with Stevens Clinic Hospital in Welch, W.Va.

She was born January 18, 1920 in Abingdon the daughter of the late George W. and Willie Mitchell Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Edward Roberts; and two daughters, Carol Lee England and Rhonda Pennington.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and Sam Klein of Boca Raton, Fla.; three grandchildren, Edward England and his wife, Jerri, Tina Dodge and Adam Pisano; grandson-in-law, Dickie (Bear) Pennington; great-grandson, Barrett Pennington; a brother, J. H. Campbell of Abingdon; and two sisters, Lorene Singleton of Abingdon and Polly Selfe of Wytheville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Max Nichols officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or the charity of your choice.
