Roberts, Dorothy Mae McGuire

Dorothy Mae McGuire Roberts, 77, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at her home in the Walton community. She was a member of Lighthouse Family Ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lottie McGuire, daughter, Tammy Roberts, grandson, Garrett McCoy, brothers, Howard, Edward, Delaney and Lindy McGuire, and sisters, Laura James, Annie Atkins and Margaret Weddle. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Carlyle Roberts of Christiansburg; seven children and their spouses, Donna and John Miller of Christiansburg, Audie and Kippy Roberts of Riner, Lisa Roberts of Christiansburg, Dennis Roberts of Floyd, Vickie and Greg McCoy of Radford, Sherrie and Jody Keith of Floyd, and Melanie Ratcliffe and her special friend, Kerrey Valle of Christiansburg; four sisters and brother-in-law, Judy King of Radford, Josie Showalter of Roanoke, Ginny Atkinson of Radford, and Donna and Roy Taylor of Dublin; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to commend daughter, Melanie and grandson, Justin for their loving care and a special thanks to Carilion Hospice. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 2 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the Hickman Cemetery in Pulaski County. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
